Dear Parents:
Welcome to the Bethel-St. Paul 2011 Vacation Bible School, SonSurf Beach Bash—where
your children are in for a thrill! It is our hope and prayer that the children will
both enjoy the time spent here and grow in their love and understanding of Jesus
Christ.
So that your children may be properly supervised, we ask that you drop them
off no earlier than 8:50 AM and that you pick them up at noon. At the beginning
and end of each day we will gather in the sanctuary for an assembly; you may drop
off and pick up your children there.
All week, the kids are encouraged to donate money (which will go to support local
missions), donate canned goods (for St. MAM’s Food Bank), and to bring friends! This
year there will a re-match competition between the boys and the girls to see who
brings in the most friends, canned goods, and money. Can the girls win for a second
year or will the boys be victorious?
Special events will take place each day of VBS as follows:
Monday — Opening Day Meet new friends!!
Tuesday — Wacky Hair Day Make your hair look as wacky as possible!
Wednesday — Beach Bum Day Dress in your craziest beach attire! (Church appropriate
attire)
Thursday — T-Shirt Day On Monday the children will receive “transfers” that can
be ironed on to T-shirts at home. Please follow the directions on the transfer and
send your child to VBS in his/her Son Surf Beach Bash T-shirt. We will be taking
a group photo so make sure you are wearing your VBS shirt!
Friday — Blue vs. Pink Re-Match and Closing Program Kids should dress according to
their gender (blue for boys and pink for girls) for the ultimate showdown! During
the Closing Program, at 11:30 am, Ben and Amber will compete to determine which team
wins, the Boys or the Girls. After the program, children, parents and staff are
invited to enjoy a beach themed lunch and our action packed closing party.
We at Bethel-St. Paul thank the Lord for the continued growth of our VBS. To help
accommodate the growth we ask each of you to prayerfully consider volunteering your
